Mobile Tour: The Cargominiums Project

Take a tour of this innovative housing community. Cargominiums was designed to have mixed residential units of supported housing and downsizers. Take this opportunity to speak with Michelle Reynolds (CEO) of NIRSE (Nothing into Something Real Estate), who developed the project.

Todd Carmichael, Ohio Housing Finance Agency
Todd Carmichael began his career with the Ohio Housing Finance in February of 1992 as a Housing Management Assistant. Mr. Carmichael duties included processing Section 8 vouchers and assisting with physical inspections on Section 8 Properties. Todd was promoted to Housing Management Specialist in March of 1993 where he conducted file audits and physical inspections of Section 8 Properties. From April 1998 to January of 2000 Todd worked in the Mark to Market Program where he worked on expiring Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Contracts. Todd returned to Housing Management in February of 2000 as a Housing Management Coordinator. His duties included scheduling all LIHTC site reviews and ensuring compliance with LIHTC properties. Todd is currently serving as the Compliances Manager with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. Todd holds the AHM, NAHP, CPO, RD 515 STAR and SHCM designation.


Dr. Michele Reynolds, Nothing into Something Real Estate (NISRE) Inc.
Dr. Michele Reynolds has over 20 years of professional experience in business and non-profit management. She holds a Commercial Real Estate License in the State of Ohio. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Arts in Public Administration and Urban Studies from the University of Akron, Master of Law from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy from CICA International University and Seminary. Dr. Michele is all but dissertation toward her earned doctorate degree in Business Administration from Northcentral University. Dr. Reynolds is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NISRE Inc.—a faith based nonprofit community development organization that provides affordable housing solutions and a range of economic empowerment initiatives designed to alleviate poverty and revitalize neighborhoods in low and moderate income communities. Under Dr. Reynolds' leadership NISRE, Inc. has housed over 1000 restored citizens through its restorative housing programs and created workforce opportunities for marginalized citizens. NISRE Inc. is the parent company of 9 businesses, which includes The EXIT (Ex-offenders In Transition) Program, Jessie's World, Rahab's Hideaway, Coffee Crafters, Sawyer's Place, The Destiny Center, Seniors Helping Seniors and Cargominiums® for which Dr. Michele Reynolds oversees as Chief Executive Officer. She is also former adjunct faculty of Kaplan College, where she taught in the Criminal Justice Technology program for 3 years.
