Policy on Mortgage Broker Company Participation

Effective May 1, 2008, and until further notice, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency will not be accepting new applications from Mortgage Broker companies to participate in OHFA programs as correspondent participants to US Bank Home Mortgage (OHFA's Master Servicer). Under this definition, correspondent participants are Mortgage Broker companies that rely on US Bank Home Mortgage to perform underwriting and/or funding services for OHFA loan products.

This policy only applies to new Broker Company applicants. Any current Mortgage Broker company participant approved prior to May 1, 2008 is not affected. Also, this policy does not apply to sponsored participants. A sponsored participant is a correspondent of a qualified OHFA primary lender such as a depository bank, mortgage bank, savings and loan, or credit union.

Welcome to OHFA's internet site for mortgage lenders, a comprehensive resource for participating lenders as well as lenders seeking information about assisting low- and moderate-income Ohioans in realizing their dream of owning a home through OHFA's Homebuyer Programs.

Through OHFA's password protected electronic reservation system, participating lenders can enter loan reservations, access loan information, download program forms, and view lender updates and special program announcements online.

Interested in becoming an OHFA partner? OHFA offers email registration that allows lenders to receive more information about the benefits of becoming a participating lender in our Homebuyer Programs and to receive program announcements online.

Listed below are links that will direct you to program information and files for downloading in Adobe PDF file format. The files must be viewed with Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader, a free version can be downloaded from Adobe's web site.

Our Homeownership staff is available to speak with groups about OHFA's programs. For more information, contact Cindy Flaherty, Director of Homeownership, at (614) 466-6886.
