Valley Bridge is a 70-unit new construction, senior housing development in Toledo (Lucas County). The project is a three-story building consisting of one-and two-bedroom units. Valley Bridge is a key component of the Community Revitalization Plan for the Southwest Sector of Reynolds Corner, supported by the Toledo-Lucas County Plan Commission. In addition to OHFA funding, the project leveraged City HOME funds, as well as obtaining a property tax abatement. Valley Bridge has also proposed a healthcare concept, Home for Life, which will engage the University of Toledo Medical Center Geriatrics on-site Healthy Aging Clinic and the adjacent Friendship Baptist Church Volunteer Program to assist residents in improving health and decreasing health care expenditures by offering appropriate age-in-place strategies and interventions. An on-site wellness suite is incorporated into the project, which includes an exam room, waiting room, and office, in order to deliver the healthcare services to residents.

Valley Bridge is within close proximity to local services, shopping, dining, medical facilities, and the local library. The development is a Silver-Rated LEED for Homes community and features an on-site fitness center, computer room, library, washer/dryer hookups in all units, 24-hour emergency maintenance, and welcomes small pets. Nine units will be affordable to and occupied by households at or below 30% of the AMGI, 23 units will be affordable to and occupied by households at or below 50% of the AMGI, and the remaining 38 units will be at 60% of the AMGI. The project is able to provide housing to extremely low-income families with the benefit of a rental subsidy through Ohio Department of Medicaid Subsidy Demonstration Program and Project-Based Housing Choice Vouchers.
