February DevCo Release Update

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) released several changes and updates to DevCo Online February 22, 2016. This new release impacts the Property Listings page, Annual Reporting Review Letters, improved readability and more. The following is a summary of the changes.

  • Corrections to Max Rent & Income Limits on TICs - All move-in and  recertification Tenant Income Certifications (TICs) used for the Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) display the max income and max rent limit amount based on the 40-60 or 20-50 set-aside selection made on the 8609s. Also improved use of HERA Special limits based on placed in service dates and project based assistance. (This was completed before the release at the end of January) Please note there are still some limits listed incorrectly on composition updates and  transfer-in events which will be corrected in a future release.
  • Search by DBA names - When using the Property Search function, a search can be completed using the doing business as (DBA) name. Due to current limitations of the text field for the property name in the online system, the DBA will not be listed in your Property Listings or on the Property Details page (this is planned for a  future release).
  • Improvements to Annual Reporting Review Letters - Adjustments were made to make the letters of completion, non-compliance and others related to annual reporting more accurate.
  • Awards are listed the property is an Active Status - This is part one of a two part fix that will improve how awards are identified in DevCo Online. Only OHFA awards that are currently active will be displayed on the Project Details page. Part two will improve how funding programs are listed on events. On tenant events if the property has Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), LIHTC should always be checked. If the unit is a Trust Fund (OHTF) or a HOME qualifying unit these need to checked as funding on the event, and all other funding types do not need to be identified on each event.
  • Clarified Text Highlighting Property Issues - When you have items pending review, they are now identified as "There are 2 issues for this property. Click to display." at the top of the Property Details page. Additionally the page listing the errors or warnings is now the Property Issues page.
  • Warnings & Errors Color Coded - All items listed may not be a compliance issue. Green - is used for Warnings and this signifies that you have an issue that needs clarification which may or may not be  compliance related. Red - is used for all Errors which must be resolved before moving forward.
  • Compatibility Improvements with Internet Browsers - DevCo has improved compatibility with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Previously DevCo was optimized to work best with Internet Explorer.
