OHFA Board Approves Financing for 10 Housing Developments

COLUMBUS, OH - Yesterday, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) Board approved financing from various programs to support 10 housing developments to create or preserve affordable housing units throughout the state.

The developments that received Board approvals for funding are:

Central

Arthur Place Apartments: Buckeye Community Hope Foundation received approval for a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan, $2,997,360 in Housing Development Assistance Program funds, and approval to authorize up to $8 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 2024 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) reservation. The development team will rehabilitate 80 units for older Ohioans in Delaware (Delaware County).

Glen Oaks of Canal Winchester: EREG Housing Preservation LLC received approval to authorize up to $35 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 2024 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 120 affordable assisted living units for older Ohioans in Canal Winchester (Franklin County).

Northeast

North View Manor: Co-developers, CHN Housing Partners and Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority, received approval for a $2.5 million Housing Development Loan and $3,724,725 in Housing Development Assistance Program funding. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will rehabilitate 85 units for older Ohioans in Medina (Medina County).

Silver Birch of Amherst: Vermilion Ohio AAL Developer LLC received approval to authorize up to $30 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 120 affordable assisted living units for older Ohioans in Amherst (Lorain County).

Silver Birch of Canton: Vermilion Ohio AAL Developer LLC received approval to authorize up to $30 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 120 affordable assisted living units for older Ohioans in Canton (Stark County).

Silver Birch of Cuyahoga Falls: Vermilion Ohio AAL Developer LLC received approval to authorize up to $30 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 120 affordable assisted living units for older Ohioans in Cuyahoga Falls (Summit County).

Northwest

Green Oaks of Holland: EREG Housing Preservation LLC received approval to authorize up to $35 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 120 affordable assisted living units in Holland (Lucas County).

Palmer Gardens Apartments: Co-developers, EREG Housing Preservation LLC and Lucas Housing Services Corporation, received approval for $1,052,266 in Housing Development Assistance Program funding and approval to authorize up to $13 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development team will rehabilitate 75 units for families in Toledo (Lucas County).

The Ashford at the Enclave: Wallick Development, LLC, received approval to authorize up to $28 million in Multifamily Housing Bonds. The development also received a 4% LIHTC reservation. The development team will build 110 affordable assisted living units for older Ohioans in Northwood (Wood County).

The Board also approved an additional reservation through the 2025 9% LIHTC program for Broadway Commons. Co-developers, CHN Housing Partners and Emerald Development and Economic Network, Inc, were approved to move to a final application to build 62 new permanent supportive housing units in Lorain (Lorain County).
