OHFA Board Approves Financing for Three Housing Developments and Announces Ohio LIHTC Allocations
COLUMBUS, OH - Today, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) Board approved financing from various programs to support three housing developments to create or preserve affordable housing units throughout the state. The Board also announced that 11 applicants will be asked to submit final applications for the State Fiscal Year 2027 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) with Ohio LIHTC program.
The developments that received Board approvals for funding are:
Ashford at Tiffin: Wallick Development, LLC received approval authorizing the issuance of up to $31 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds. The development, which also received a 4% LIHTC reservation, will create 122 units for assisted living in Tiffin (Seneca County).
Belmar Hill of Mt. Washington: Sieber Construction, Inc. received approval authorizing the issuance of up to $8.5 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds. The development, which also received a 4% LIHTC reservation, an Ohio LIHTC allocation, and a Housing Development Loan, will create 54 units for older Ohioans in Cincinnati (Hamilton County).
Rotary Commons: Co-developers Salus Development LLC and LSC Service Corp received approval authorizing the issuance of up to $3 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds. The development, which also received a 4% LIHTC reservation, a Housing Development Loan, and funding from the Ohio Housing Trust Fund, will rehabilitate 40 units in Bellevue (Sandusky County).
For the State Fiscal Year 2027 4% LIHTC with Ohio LIHTC program, $11.1 million in annual tax credits are available for allocation, and $10 million of Ohio Housing Trust Fund dollars will be utilized as gap financing for rural projects seeking Ohio LIHTC. In the 2027 Ohio LIHTC program, 11 projects will be invited to submit a final application. The developments will create 1,333 new units in nine counties.

- Eastpoint Lofts (Franklin County) – Transformative Economic Development Set Aside
- Fifth & Butler (Hamilton County)
- Heritage Point (Lorain County)
- Near West Side Homes (Cuyahoga County) – Metropolitan Single Family Set Aside
- Riverbend Villas (Miami County)
- Riverview on Third (Lorain County)
- Temple Greene (Richland County) – Rural Single Family Set Aside
- Salt Fork Landing (Guernsey County)
- Trinity Square Apartments (Trumbull County) – Appalachian Set Aside
- The Overlook at Theis (Washington County) – Strategic Initiative Set Aside
